Winning Teams
The first University of Alabama football team had 19 players on it in 1892. The school has won 12 national championships and 21 SEC championships. The NCAA has Alabama down as winning four other national championships. They are not counted by the university because they are co-championships.
This school historically has been one of the best football teams in America. They also have some of the loudest fans in America and they love their Alabama Crimson Tide merchandise. They have been to 55 bowl games. They have won ten more games than they lost. They also have 3 ties. Nick Saban led the Crimson Tide to a 12-0 regular season record in 2008.
The University of Florida fielded their first team in 1906.
Urban Meyer is the proud coach of the defending champion Florida Gators. This is a very popular school and the love their Florida Gators merchandise. The Gators have participated in a total of 34 bowl games. They have won the SEC 8 times.
The school has huge rivals with Tennessee, Georgia, and LSU. Also, they consider Florida State, an in-state rival, important.

Since Dec. 2004, Urban Meyer has helped the Gators improve from the previous year. The Gators won a National Championship in Jan. 2007, beating Ohio State. In Jan. 2009, the Gators won another championship, beating the Sooners.
The Georgia Bulldogs call the 93,000 seat Sanford Stadium their home. Their biggest rival is Auburn. Georgia enjoys playing the Volunteers every October. This game is loaded with Georgia Bulldogs merchandise. The team has had success.
Georgia plays Florida every year at a so-called neutral site in Jacksonville, FL. This rivalry game is a must watch for all Georgia fans. Florida has been narrowing the gap in this rivalry lately, even though Georgia still owns the edge by about 10 games.
The LSU Tigers stadium holds over 92,000 loud people wearing LSU Tigers merchandise. Les Miles coaches this football team. Last year, LSU was the only team in history to lose two games but still play for and actually win a national title.
Texas has the second most wins in all of college football. However, the school didn’t win that much in the ’80s and ’90s but Texas Longhorns merchandise still sold.
The coach of the Longhorns is Mack Brown. He has almost won a hundred games more than he has lost.
